Q: What is the signifigence of the number twelve in the story?
ReplyDeleteA: Petra and Calder found "A Lady Writing" by pushing the wall near the 12th step in a stairway. Also, there are 12 pentominoes in a set. Calder's use of his pentominoes certainly helps explain how things and events are connected.
I like how the author uses the clues and intertwines them in a problematic situation that Calder and Petra have to solve. The clues are related to events taking place in their everyday lives.
